The work of Trudy Kunkeler (Dordrecht, the Netherlands) is a commitment to research into the evolution of the earth, both matter and humanity. She works with clay to express the constant transformation of nature, memories of destruction and construction. We can describe her work as a register of memories for nature and the behavior of human being.
This exposition is about an ordered chaos or chaotic order that she observes in these processes of transformation.
Trudy Kunkeler studied professional training in ceramics and craft in Rotterdam and at the Free Academy in the Hague, where she studied ceramics and enamel with Emmy van Deventer, among others.
Later, she did a first year of training at the Escola Massana in Barcelona with a scholarship from the Ary Scheffer Fund, followed by a second year at the invitation of professor Maria Bofill.
